Rock Work

Applying sculptural skills our rockwork provides durable and firm surfaces based on mortar. That way any concrete wall or other stable primary structure can be turned into rock, buttress root trees or temple ruins.

First the basic design is shaped. A plaster base made of solid mesh is then applied on a qualified styrofoam or metal cagework underconstruction. An a 8-10 cm layer of special mortar is projected onto this shape. According to the requirements the final layer is then treated by the sculptor and (if wanted) finally painted. It Takes three weeks for the rockwork to harden totally.
Rockwork is highly weather-proof, the oldest sites in Europe exist for over 100 years.
